Imagine our elated surprise when Lennina Pavon Cardoso, Senior Advisor, Community Investment from Enbridge Inc., called to say that Oxford House Foundation had been chosen as one of three charities by their employees, for their United Way campaign.

In a nutshell, Oxford House, along with the Distress Centre and the Centre for Newcomers, were invited to mingle with Enbridge employees at their silent auction, held at the TELUS Convention Centre on Thursday, September 21, 2017.Bidders were quite generous. Many of the items went for more than their value. And those attendees that we had an opportunity to chat with were quite excited about making a difference in their community. One of the highlights of the event for us, was, when Brian Johnson, Chair of Enbridge United Way Campaign, spoke passionately about how addiction affected several people in his own circles. And it's true, addiction affects more than the addict, and that is why Oxford House, and the residents who live in our homes, work so hard toward recovery.

Thank you so much Enbridge, your efforts in the community are making a huge difference!
