Thank You Enbridge Employees and United Way!

On January 23, 2018, we sent Earl Thiessen and Diana Schwenk to the Enbridge office in downtown Calgary to pick up a cheque. It all started back in September 2017, when Enbridge employees picked Centre for Newcomers, the Distress Centre and Oxford House as the charities they wanted to support through their silent auction as part of their United Way campaign.Bidders were quite generous. Many of the items went for more than their value, which brings me back to the cheque presentation on January 23, 2018. Oxford House, and the two other charities, were presented with cheques made out for $24,263.00!We were moved by the stories shared by Brian Johnson, United Way Campaign Lead for Enbridge, and by the representatives of the other charities present.

Thank you so much Enbridge employees and United Way. Your fundraising will support two houses of 10 residents for an entire Year!
